The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a liaison role among business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information, and information systems. Collaborating with both the Information Technology (IT) project teams and business clients, the successful candidate collects, clarifies, and translates business requirements into documentation and conceptual design, from which application and solutions are developed.

Responsibilities

  • Documents and analyses Business Process information and data.

  • Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.

The function of the Project Management Office (PMO) is to provide project management administration, coordination and reporting support, and it has been established as a centre of excellence to support project management practices. The PMO Co-ordinator role provides support to the project management community as well as to the Sales, Product and Client Service areas. . The PMO Co-ordinator will work with the Project Owner to coordinate the set-up of these projects in the First Data project repository. He/she will assist with any queries regarding PMO processes and procedures as well as service any requests for information from the project database; this may require the production of ad hoc reports and/or creation of customised views of the project data.

Various in-house developed applications (e.g. timesheet recording and reporting, project database, etc.) are currently used to support the PMO and project management functions. The PMO Co-ordinator will use these applications to provide active monitoring of project status and delivery tracking as well as timesheet compliance. He/she will also provide 1st level support for queries relating to the use of these applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate registration of new projects within the project
  • Assist with project completion procedures – includes liaison with Sales Coordinator to initiate project billing as required
  • Assist PMO Analyst with facilitation of key PMO-related meetings
  • Run weekly reports for timesheet monitoring and project date monitoring and facilitates any required follow-up
  • Provide weekly project snapshot for Portfolio Managers
  • Maintain resource data in Resource Pool and timesheet monitoring spreadsheet
  • Maintain resource available hours in Dashboard spreadsheets
  • Produce monthly Dashboard report working with the PMO Analyst
  • Provide PMO and project management document librarian services
  • Provides project processing consultation and services requests for assistance to the project management community
  • Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of First Data’s EFT business

  • Understanding of the Payment industry and EFT transaction switching and device driving

Education:

  • University Degree highly valued, or similar qualification or prolonged experience in a similar role or relevant field

Work Experience:

  • Experience in applying accepted business/development lifecycle methodologies
  • Experience in a software development or project environment
  • Previous EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) related industry knowledge preferred but not essential
