pieNETWORKs are looking for a talented Linux Systems Administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will support a fully redundant server network across multiple desktop PCs with core components hosted offsite.

Required Business Skills

  • Demonstrate excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Be a good problem solver with an analytical approach to resolving issues.

Required Technical Skills

  • Systems administration skills for Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Virtualisation technologies including VMware
  • Strong understanding of database concepts and principles
  • DBA knowledge – data synchronisation and redundancy

Other Skills
• Have or be working towards a formal qualification in Information Technology / Systems

HCL Australia is offering up to 3 IT Scholarships in Sydney over the next few weeks.

Essential requirements:
1. Must be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia.
2. Must have graduated most recently from a university in Australia, within the last one year having completed a degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
3. Must be enthusiastic and keen to get trained and learn in a team environment.
Also must have one or more of these skills:
•Manual or Automation Testing knowledge
•Familiarity with Quality Center and/or any other testing tool
•SQL server knowledge with understanding of Normalization, Nested queries, Stored Procedures and  Triggers
