Star Track Express is looking for a  Service Desk Analyst to join their team in Gordon to provide professional, fast and effective frontline support to external and internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Service Desk maintains a high standard of customer service to both external and internal customers.
  • Ensure all IT Equipment is secured at all times
  • Actively contribute to Knowledge Management through the creation of Knowledge Documents in Remedy.
  • Log a minimum of 90% of all Incidents received by telephone into the Remedy Incident Management System.
  • Maintain a “First Call Resolution Rate” equal to that of your peers.
  • Manage your “Mean Time To Resolution” equal to that of your peers.
  • Ability to relate complex technical issues to non-experts
  • Follow all specified procedures as outlined by the Service Desk Manager
  • Remain knowledgeable across a range of continually changing technologies

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a professional, positive and friendly telephone manner
  • Outstanding customer service ethic with the desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Ability to train software users both over the phone and in person
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good knowledge of operating systems, relational database and networking of computers
  • Ability to configure, troubleshoot, and repair PC hardware and software
  • Ability to prioritise work in order to meet conflicting deadlines
  • Strong focus on task execution and completion

  • Able to work autonomously whilst contributing to a team environment
  • Work flexibility in order to coincide with department scheduling needs between the hours of 6:30am and 7:00pm

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications or studying towards a tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field from an Australian University.

Work Experience

  • Previous work experience in a similar support/ customer service role would be considered advantageous.

Work with Microsoft SharePoint and setup your career with one of Australia’s fastest growing software vendors. This role is a new role within the RecordPoint product development team. The RecordPoint product is lacking a complete set of documentation and help material. In order to continue selling the solution we need to invest in polishing up the product around the documentation set. Both from a product perspective and an implementation perspective. The role would be working under the part time lead tester, so the ability to work alone and release quality software will be a huge and exiting challenge. This role will contribute to the growth and success of RecordPoint by owning and managing the quality (through testing) and documentation of the RecordPoint product.

Responsibilities:

Maintain comprehensive test plans/scripts

Participation in the preparation of UAT plans/scripts

Implementation/enhancement of test tools where appropriate, automating test processes wherever possible in order to improve time-to-market for enhancements to existing applications

Developing operating and system documentation

Working in close collaboration with the development teams to ensure that systems are developed within agreed budgets and timeframes and achieving necessary design and system security standards

Initiate and assist with development and implementation of changes to improve overall applications efficiency and functionality

Assess the impact of changes on existing business and technology processes, as well as other interfacing systems

Work with Product Architect and Management team to analyse and estimate incoming work requests / orders for inclusion in overall project delivery estimate

Liaise with Unique World Consulting and Support teams

Desired Skills:

Experience and understanding of the SDLC including awareness of System/Integration/Performance and User Acceptance Testing

Awareness and experience with automated testing tools would be an advantage

Knowledge of Relational Databases (pref SQL) and SharePoint

Knowledge of Agile project methodologies would be an advantage

Some knowledge of systems design and database concepts which will assist in engaging with the development team(s)

Analyse test data to determine performance of test systems, find root causes of tester-related yield issues, and drive corrective actions

Familiarity and understanding of development techniques in C

Highly motivated individual with a willingness to learn is preferred

A relevant Information Technology degree from a University in Australia (eg Business, Science or Engineering related) with a keen interest in quality software development.
