MACQUARIE TELECOM Hosting has implemented an on-line chat function on its web site, requiring an operator to facilitate online chats with web enquirers. The purpose is to engage prospects early in the product enquiry process, through obtaining contact details allowing a BDM to follow through with a sales call to the prospect.
The primary purpose is to convert web and phone enquiries into addressable leads, which are then passed to a BDM.

Responsibilities:
Conduct online chats as required, document learning, and report daily on results
Develop Chat scripts for review with the Sales Manager
Answer all inbound phone calls, and log details into the system
Manage all inbound enquiries to an addressable lead stage
Enter all lead information into Crisp (CRM System). This requires use of ASIC databases to search for Company details
Offer suggestions for continuous improvement in lead generation
Build profile on any new customer demands and or / competitors
Prospect management – Influence Sales reps to ensure CRM systems is updated as leads progress through the sales funnel
Perform sales admin tasks as required.

Requirements:
Excellent English and typing skills.
Clear verbal skills and diction
Enjoys communicating and developing relationships with others
Strong communication skills

Experience:
Familiar with Web / IT / Computing language / products / services
Experience working in customer facing IT sales / engineering environment.

Qualifications:
A ICT tertiary qualification would be highly regarded (e.g. Computer Science, IT, Engineering) or an equivalent combination of education and strong business services experience are highly desirable for this position.
